Alifa and her family is rendered homeless as the Brahmaputra river gets flooded and destroys their farming lands. In the hope of finding work in the city, they migrate to Guwahati and struggle to earn a living. The film is about the loss of home and the discrimination faced by the Bengali Muslims in Assam.
