An adaptation of the popular Japanese manga Battle Angel Alita. Set in the 26th century, Alita (Rosa Salazar) is a female cyborg that is discovered in a scrapyard by a scientist. With no memory of her previous life except her deadly martial-arts training, Alita becomes a bounty hunter, tracking down criminals.

Best movie I've seen in a long time. This is a great story told expertly, with amazing cinematography. The Action scenes are great, all of the acting is absolutely top notch. From the first scene Alita proves to be one of the most believable and relate-able strong female characters I've seen in Cinema in the last 5 years. Unlike many female protagonists today "Strong" is not a character trait for her, it is something she develops and becomes on the way to her goals, which are both personal and interpersonal. Every decision she makes feels like something a real person would do, which is sadly rare in movies these days. Can't give this one enough praise so I'll simply give it 5/5.

Absolutely loved this movie. Went to see it multiple times (8) in the theater. As a fan of the manga I was so happy at how well it was adapted. The cast is amazing. The VFX are beyond next level. However the stand out of this movie is Rosa Salazar and her incredible performance as Alita. The charm, charisma, heart and sold come pouring through the performance capture. She pulls you into the story and you are immersed in the world Iron City and Zolem. The action of the Motor-ball scenes is fantastic and lets not forget the bar scene. One of the best one-liners ever in the fight with Garishga. This is an absolute keeper. I truly hope there will be more, there is so much more from the manga to explore. Plus we need more Rosa.

Spectacular movie. Yes it's a little obvious, yes you can see some things coming. But the graphics alone are well worth watching this movie. It's hard to find a movie with a story you want to know more about. That keeps you engaged with action, and yet totally entertained and not thinking "wow this looks so fake". "Fake" never once crossed my mind watching this.
