Mais quand, par un beau matin de décembre, ils apprennent que Sol est atteint d'un cancer du foie en phase terminale, leur projet de mariage à l'été s'évapore. Les amis et la famille de Sol et Jenn se jettent alors dans une course contre la montre et lancent une collecte de fonds en ligne pour aider le jeune couple à financer, en moins de deux semaines, le mariage de leurs rêves. Leur action déchaine une avalanche de générosité de la part de personnes du monde entier, désireuses de célébrer la force de l'amour avec les deux jeunes fiancés. Au cours de cette épreuve le lien qui unit Sol et Jenn ne fera que croître et grandir rappelant que la force de l'amour véritable ne connait pas de limite. I have a headache from crying so hard. There is a powerful message in this movie. If you are lucky enough to find love, go in all the way. Dive deep, even though you know your heart is going to shatter into a million little pieces in the end. "All My Life" is a movie about a couple who have an elaborate wedding (through the support of their close friends and a wildly successful GoFundMe campaign), even though the groom has only months to live as he is dying of terminal cancer. I heard a quote that I'll never forget from the father of a man gunned down senselessly. He said, "grief is the purest expression of love". I'd like to add to that another variation on a theme. "Love is the purest expression of love". When I saw "LaLa Land", I remember instantly being totally mesmerized by Jessica Rothe. She was one of Emma Stone's roommates, so she did not have a major role. But she has a star quality that I have not witnessed since seeing Cybill Shepherd in "The Last Picture Show". She is such a remarkable actress. I am certain that she is going to become a major, major star. Rothe and her costar Harry Shum, Jr. (from Crazy Rich Asians) have a magical chemistry in this film. You will fall in love with each of them as individuals, and in multitudes as a couple. This film is just absolutely amazing. It's a love story that redefines love stories. One of my favorite lines is when Shum says, "I don't know if I want to go through with this wedding, all our guests will see is a widow in white". Oh God I'm starting to cry again. Please see this movie. Take my word for it, you will be moved to tears. Don't hold back, dive into this story along with this beautiful couple. Though you know what's going to happen in the end, it will not allow you to keep your heart guarded from the inevitable tragedy to come. And that's what makes it an amazing love story. For grief is the purest expression of love.

I've watched countless sappy romance movies through the decades, and this one is the most genuine stories I've ever felt. It has moments of warm smiles and moments when I reflect deeply within myself. All My Life feels human. The movie doesn't have the stereotypical romance rollercoaster where two star-crossed lovers go through one grandiose trial, but instead, shows the moments in life when we lose faith, regain strength, and carry on. Shum and Rothe portrayed a beautiful couple together and feels like a real life couple and not some made up Hollywood fantasy (well, this is based on a true story). Their chemistry feels so genuine that I could swear that they were true lovers off-screen. The only downside to the movie is the pacing - the movie jumps quickly through the boy-chase-girl arc, but we have enough of those movies - and again, this movie grounds itself in true love, not fantasy, which may be a turnoff to those expecting a traditional Holliday rom. I highly recommend watching this movie with your significant other or family, as it gives you a chance to feel warmth and reflection at the same time
