Great Movie/ Documentary. After seeing it free I purchased it to support it's creators but oddly purchasing it through Google Play means you can only watch it through Google Play and unable to watch it on any other device. You can't put it to disc or another hard drive in your media collection to watch. This should be illegal in my opinion. That being said I purchased it not knowing this to to give it to my parents as I thought they would enjoy. So I had to purchase software to convert this movie to an MP4 then put it to disc for them to watch in their old DvD player. Just a major pain. Much like the topic of this movie is the issue with current companies and technology. They will not move forward and choose to waste money on tech protection which will only hurt them in the future and prevent them from maturing a mentality for future revenue. The world is slowly moving away from a Monetary System but these companies are clawing and screaming about it not seeing the benefits. A shame, which is why I like this movie because it basically tells this tale. None the less the people involved with Tower Records had an amazing ride and it's great to see old footage of the ride.

Extremely well directed, in my opinion. Very good flow of what Tower was from the beginning to the end of it- both as a company and especially as a culture. Going into a record store (Tower and other special stores like Bill's Records & Tapes) was always an experience, whether you were buying something or not. You would head in their to buy maybe just one album, but you couldn't help but look at everything, see what was going on, shooting the bull with the employees. It was a great experience and it's pretty much evaporated. The documentary covers all of this in perfect detail. Anyway, times change, we're forced to change with it (mostly) and all things must pass. Great documentary that I imaging anyone would enjoy. At least those that got to experience a vinyl record store environment.

A fantastic documentary! I have never shopped in a Tower Record store in my life, but after having watched this I wish I could have. That is the power of a good movie even as a documentary to make you want to be part of it. The message from it is to make you miss it. I had never been ans I miss it. Powerful storytelling from everyone's memory. The retail experience from this time period will not return in our lifetime. A sad but uplifting account of how it was. This is Colin Hanks first film, I will be keeping an eye on his career.
