AMERICAN ASSASSIN follows the rise of Mitch Rapp (Dylan O’Brien), a CIA black ops recruit under the instruction of Cold War veteran Stan Hurley (Michael Keaton). The pair is then enlisted by CIA Deputy Director Irene Kennedy (Sanaa Lathan) to investigate a wave of apparently random attacks on both military and civilian targets. Together the three discover a pattern in the violence leading them to a joint mission with a lethal Turkish agent (Shiva Negar) to stop a mysterious operative (Taylor Kitsch) intent on starting a World War in the Middle East.

Essentially the film is like an amalgamation of other spy films in that it takes well-worn elements and tries to dress them up as something new. The plot is frankly ridiculous, with an average guy supposedly transforming himself into this super spy, it's jingoistic nonsense and cynically put together in that you can tell they thought hey people would watch identifying with the central character...er no.

The film is great regards to actors, sound, locations and designs, however, I'm getting tired of watching a film where muslims are always the badguys. Even when a white person turns out to be the even worse guy. All in all, a great film, and quite exiting to watch.

I have been a really good fan of assassin movies this month and I played games like Assassin's Creed it's really good and my mum is like really strict so when I go to bed andad says I can come down so I can actually watch it
