When a local rite of passage goes frightfully wrong, what began as a comedy of errors becomes a Darwinian gore fest, as four teenage boys must fight for survival amid a sinister hunting party, a bloodthirsty tribe and a mythical beast in the backwoods of New Hampshire.

Overall, pretty well done for an indie film. It doesn't take itself too seriously and if you're looking for something scary this really isn't it. It's got plenty of gore and a plot line that is just really ridiculous and honestly, I think that was the point. The "scary shaky camera effect" was a bit overdone and verged on headache-inducing. The "did you eat your berries?" scene threw this movie over the edge into goofiness more than scariness. Gratuitous use of the"gay redneck rapist" became quickly tiresome.

Awards for gore - and predominantly glowing reviews from horror media - don't lie. This is indie horror for hardcore fans.
