The con is one when scam artists and lovers Irving Rosenfeld (Christian Bale) and Sydney Prosser (Amy Adams) are entrapped by ambitious FBI agent Richie DiMaso (Bradley Cooper) and coerced into participating in a major sting operation which hinges on snaring politician Carmine Polito (Jeremy Renner) and his associates. Complicating matters is Irving’s wife Rosalyn (Jennifer Lawrence), who could bring the whole operation crashing down around them all. From the director of Silver Linings Playbook and The Fighter, AMERICAN HUSTLE is outrageously entertaining and one of the most acclaimed films of the year.

Waste of time. Acting was OK but story line was terrible. How this is getting the reviews it is... If you rated this more than 2 stars then you have NO idea what a good movie really is and I'm sorry for you. This movie was far too long and slow moving to be worth Redbox @ $0.99, let alone $4.99 here. I will never trust any nominated movie again.

Someone on twitter said this around Oscar season and I think it best sums up this movie: "American Hustle should win for best impersonation of a good movie"... This movie has all the elements of a good movie, but they don't quite fit, it's lacking that glue that holds all the pieces together. I wanted to like it but it just dragged. It had lots of potential but didn't deliver.

Win awards; God I hope not, because it would reveal just how out of touch movie critics reviews are with reality... Though I do have to admit the cast did the best they could with such a poor story line. I want my money refunded! A Total Waste of Good Money and Valuable Time...
