I'd heard about this movie for awhile, so I looked at it on Netflix. Firstly, time has not treated it well. For a character who's supposed to be obsessed with image, I can't believe the bare-bones surroundings he allows himself to live in. With over a decade since it was made, the sets are looking very cheap. I felt dumber for having watched this, kinda duped for seeing it through to the end. The above synopsis calls this movie a satire; I don't find it nearly clever enough to enjoy that description. Especially unredeemable is the clip of Ronald Reagan tacked on the end to give this movie it's moment of gravity. Garbage.

Masterpiece of a film, and fits well to celebrate Halloween honestly. With such iconic scenes, soundtrack/music, plot and a legendary cast, especially with Christian Bale, Dafoe, and many others It's truly iconic. Based on the novel, it was a great rendition, and depicts the 80s very brilliantly only with the mind of a Narcissistic psychopath which it was intended too, The film was ahead of it's time, and what a great mention of Phil Collins, and Genesis, glad those legends work made it here to!
