Informazioni su questo film

Patrick Bateman (Christian Bale) is a Wall Street yuppie equipped with success, status, style and a stunning fiancée (Reese Witherspoon). He is also a psychotic killer who rapes, murders and dismembers both strangers and acquaintances without provocation or purpose. Based on the controversial novel by Bret Easton Ellis, the film offers a sharp satire to the dark side of yuppie culture in the '80s, while setting forth a vision that is both terrifying and chilling. © MM Lions Gate Films, Inc. I'd heard about this movie for awhile, so I looked at it on Netflix. Firstly, time has not treated it well. For a character who's supposed to be obsessed with image, I can't believe the bare-bones surroundings he allows himself to live in. With over a decade since it was made, the sets are looking very cheap. I felt dumber for having watched this, kinda duped for seeing it through to the end. The above synopsis calls this movie a satire; I don't find it nearly clever enough to enjoy that description. Especially unredeemable is the clip of Ronald Reagan tacked on the end to give this movie it's moment of gravity. Garbage.

The movie was pretty good, the story was decent but pretty strange, it was very fast pased tho, I didn't like that you couldn't really understand what was happening I give it like 3.9 to a 4

Right on the edge of being good enough for Blu-ray/a classic. But something felt not quite good enough. Like it felt rushed. But in the end, concise.
