go-round. You just go up and down and round and round. You never get anywhere, but you always feel safe." Very beautiful movie! I must read the book. That line is literature. The movie didn't match up to it. Or maybe it just came too close for my comfort. The acting was superb. Truly superb! I wish Sylvia's and my childhood on no one. But that's sadly too much to ask of people: just do humanity a favor and end childhood torture! Read Ursula Le Guin's "Omelas," please. We don't need to torture innocence

I can't believe that this crap really goes on! Women or anyone who treats a child like this should be tortured and burned at the stake for the city or town to see! Makes me horrified and angry, I'm a mother of 3 and ones just passed away, and I can't even fathom how anyone could do anything like that to a poor Lil angel baby or child! Those women are psychopaths!

This was such an inspiration to me that even if you get hurt you shouldn't stop fighting! You can be caring and still get hurt! The fact that this is true makes this film sad, because who would think how can someone do that to a child but then you look at today and it's worse! I absolutely love this film and all the actors that portrayed the people in this film!
