Tens of thousands of house pets were left to die in neighbourhoods all across the region as owners were forced to evacuate without their pets. "The Greatest Pet Rescue Ever" documents the story of the officials, the rescuers and the adopters of animals who worked through the devastation only to discover that not everyone was working towards the same goal.
