One of the best legal drama ever realized on screen. Anatomy of murder is both long and complex, at over 2 hours 40 minutes run time you might think it gets boring mainly being a legal drama, but it never does. This is done mainly because motives are left in the air, Stewart's and George C Scott's characters both coach witnesses, trade barbs, and seem to be willingly to do whatever is necessary to win. The exactness of what happens is never established which makes it even more powerful.
