"And The Circus Leaves Town” is the story of a small village stuck between life & death. It's a moment in time when a 'Stranger' who's trying to catch up with his past and a village who is trying to forget it's own, crosses paths. 'The Stranger' steps down from a train with a red wooden suitcase in the middle of nowhere. He arrives in a village with a dark and deadly past, where only a handful people live and the young have left a long time ago. His arrival evokes both interest and suspicion. Is he someone related to the events happened there in the past? Or a brand new hope?

Another excellent interpretation of a complicated character by Engin Altan Duzyatan. This is a "day in the life of" movie & has a lot of characters leading simple lives - there is a plot - don't blink or you'll miss it! Leaves you with your mouth open in surprise! I've watched it several times just to get a better look at the "scenery", the characters' interactions & the background distractions - worth every minute of it. A well blended effort that makes 1 1/2 hours fly by.
