When there is an assassination attempt on U.S. President Allan Trumbull (Morgan Freeman), his trusted confidant, Secret Service Agent Mike Banning (Gerard Butler), is wrongfully accused and taken into custody. After escaping from capture, he becomes a man on the run and must evade his own agency and outsmart the FBI in order to find the real threat to the president. Desperate to uncover the truth, Banning turns to unlikely allies to help clear his name, keep his family from harm, and save the country from imminent danger.

Great movie. If you like fictional movie and I do, Action an adventure, my type movie. I wonder why some people watch a fictional movie and give a bad review because they didn't like it. If you follow the story line you will understand the show and enjoy the movie. Maybe some of them should be watching life time where a lot of the movies are based on true stories.

I'm a homer for Butler's Fallen movies. This is probably my least favorite of the three, but the action is engaging enough that I wouldn't drop below five stars since I do rewatch this on occasion.

There's a balancing act between stupid and barely plausible and this one kept playing like the kid with his head down spinning around the bat for an hour and then tries to run straight in an open field. Butler somehow shakes a massive manhunt following in close pursuit--in a semi. The big bad guy reveal, complete with a sinister voice changer, is straight up Velveeta. The definitive worst of the 3, and after the second one, that's a fair accomplishment.
