About this movie

Bauji (Sanjay Mishra) is a man in his late fifties, living out a dreary but eventful life in a small house in old Delhi- where he lives with his extended family. A random incident is going to change his life in a dramatic way- though he does not realize at the moment. Bauji's daughter has been seeing a boy of ill repute. When that fact is revealed to the family, after much deliberation they decide to do the obvious- lock up the girl and go beat the willful boy. But things don't quite turn out the way they were supposed to - and Bauji has an epiphany. He takes a tough call- He decides that he would never believe what he has not learnt through his own experience. The only truth for him would be the truth of his life, the truth that has passed through the verifier of his senses. He takes on the difficult journey, where he would be called a mad man, a saint- or most often, just a fool. All of it, but he is steadfast on his path. It is a funny old journey of this man, this old fool- who is both Lear and the fool... CBFC Rating U. Certificate Number DIL/1/138/2013-MUM

Fans gaye re obama crew does wonders. But that movie i watched 3-4 times but this movie is purely art movie kind and could watch only once. At least better than what commercial movies we get to see these days like chennai xp, jai ho etc etc.

One of the best Bollywood movies ever. Saw it thrice already. If you liked malgudi days or days of the good old witty Indian television, this movie is for you. Don't watch it if you liked doom3, trish(trash) or crappy new year. Real good actors and a good storyline. This is what cinema should look like.

My warm regards and heartiest thanks to Rajat , and the entire आँखों देखि team. Watching this was like replantation of faith in bollywood that they can have something to say ....rather a most simple story in most special way . Lyrics by varun grover compliments the movie . It felt like a musical treat to ears hearing all compositions based in indian classical and light classical form. Nostalgia comes alive... not even for a moment i could move my eyes off the movie.पहले इस सिनेमा का अनुभव करे तभी यकीन करें
