A village centric love story, which revolves around three villages Kaariyaapatti, Uralpatti and Kidaripatti. Kodiveeran (Lakshman Narayan), a goatherd, meets and falls in love with the neighboring village girl, Annakkodi (Karthika Nair). Sadayan (Manoj Bharathiraja) is the atrocious son of the village moneylender, who confiscates people's property and abducts their women, claiming them to be the interest for the money borrowed. He too eyes the beautiful Annakkodi, who thwarts his advances. The unforeseen circumstances land Kodiveeran and his father in a police lockup, a plot hatched by Sadayan. Unfortunately, the situation turns to despair for Annakodi as she is left at mercy of Sadayan, in lieu of money borrowed from him. Will the fate intervene for these helpless lovers, separated by caste and creed, forms the rest of the story. (CBFC U/A DIL/2/36/2013-CHE)
