This cannot command more than a 3. It is quite weak and has a predictably lame end (in that it would be lame). ‘Characters’ have no substance. It kills a couple of hours on a wet day; it doesn’t leave you feeling like it was a great rental.

One Star. Could not enjoy due to film having NO subtitles. It says that it has subtitles on this page but it does not, bad work Google.

I still think about this movie 6 months after I watched it. It is astonishing. It is both a moving exploration of how we manage loss and a wonderfully fresh take on what ultra high technology might look like. What does the ultimate integration of the mind with the physical world look like? Annihilation has a view and it was completely new to me.
