À propos de ce film

From the Oscar-winner who brought you ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND and BEING JOHN MALKOVICH comes a riveting new masterpiece. Michael Stone - husband, father and noted author - travels to Cincinnati to speak at a customer service conference. But once he’s separated from the routine of his daily life, a chance encounter helps him to realize just what, and whom, he’s been missing. Love, laughter and loneliness align in a “staggeringly inventive” (Chris Nashawaty, Entertainment Weekly) stop-motion work of art from directors Charlie Kaufman and Duke Johnson.

Story is very interesting right from the beginning. Though it is hard to see why the main character behaves like he does and why there are just two male + one female voice. But after reading blog writing "14 Movies About Depression That Perfectly Capture the Experience" from Joseph Rauch it all becomes crystal clear. Like Mr. Rauch puts it: "Stone is clinically depressed...The film illustrates this by using a perspective where Stone perceives everyone in the world as sounding nearly identical."

The whole thing of using one dude's voice for all characters is not creative, it's just plain lazy.
