It's somewhat slow. Chatty in a lovely British way...Compares a "content with life" couple that loves to entertain family, friends, and loves to garden...with a discontent alcoholic (her main focus is herself, and basically where she can get her next drink)...and you slowly see how the alcoholic's life spirals down into more misery. Yet there's a hint of hope for her (maybe?) at the end of the movie...hmmm...
