Based on the bestselling novel, a teenager's gift of premonition becomes a curse when after a night of drinking with his friends, Luke Hunter predicts that one of his friends will be crushed by a red van with out-of-state license plates. When the random prophecy comes true, a media madhouse infiltrates Luke's quiet life. Dubbed the ‘Prophet of Death’ Luke experiences more premonitions that become reality, and must learn to make peace with his abilities in this fast-moving tale of struggling youth.

Brilliant movie. Had me sucked in from the very beginning. Cameron Monaghan brilliantly disappears into his character and this story. Every other role was played just as perfectly, from Luke's understanding and caring mother, who is contrasted well by his stern but ultimately well-meaning and loving father, to his friends and peers, who all come together to make his environment and life feel real and organic. Pair that with the writing and directing, and you've got a great film. Amazing.

I thought this movie was beautifully acted and brought to screen on all fronts! I rented it but plan to buy after my rental ends, a must see for sure!
