This movie... while critically acclaimed and directed by the guy who brought us the godfather, doesnt quite succeed in getting me to see all the hype. its a good film... but like Taxi driver, this feels like a product of its time that only just manages to hold up.

Wow this movie was excellent! The aerial film shooting, the background, the lighting, the sounds. I can't believe this movie was filmed in the 70's. The only movie that comes close to it is "platoon" and it doesn't even make a scratch compared to this movie. Everything seems to be done in real time, no special effects or computer animation. Amazing... although I can't imagine the amount of contamination left in nature after filming this lol

One of the greatest movies of all time. NOT an understatement. I'm a 90s kid and I know what's being presented here. So sad and hopeless, seeing some of the reviews here. Doesn't anyone eat mushrooms and watch great, older movies anymore? Open your minds, understand the history behind this great film. There's more than enough material here to watch it multiple times. Redux version is the ultimate experience! All hail Coppola.
