Personaly, I find it to be mediocre. It has great visual effects and a great casting, but the story itself isn't what you'd call interesting. It follows a generic super hero plot that is very predictable and is getting pretty tedious thorough the movie. The characters themselves aren't showing any memorable personality traits, making it hard for me to feel emotionally attached to them. In conclusion, I recommend it for it's cool actions and cgi, but not the story.

I enjoyed the movie.The production and editing was good. Definitely James Wan's forte. It's meant to give a good show and it did. It's from a comic so don't expect method acting or emotional depth. Don't know why people hated it. The 60s Aquaman show was even more corny. One complaint though was choice of songs and situational music for the scenes. at times the music was cheesy. Just didn't gel. Even the song at the end was forgettable. Please next Aquaman get someone else to choose the music.
