I saw this movie many years ago as a child and it freaked me out. I decided to watch it again to see if it really was as good as I remember it, and it is! Obviously you need to take it as it is: a movie. But it's creepy and crawly, and not nearly as campy as you might expect, except for the animatronic spider at the end that was designed by Mythbuster Adam Savage! :) More realistic than the over-the-top "Kingdom of the Spiders," and twice as entertaining! Suitable for older children and adults. No violence, very little language, but tons of spiders. I recommend for a fun rental!

Didn't Steven Spielberg have something to do with this movie? I always said Spielberg was overrated. Even "Jaws". There have been other similar movies that are much better. This movie - basically STUPID.

It's great. I wouldn't necessarily label it as a horror movie, but, if you have a fear of spiders, then, I guess you could call it that. I found it to be more of a suspense-type film. It's interesting.
