Aranmanai (English: Palace) is a Tamil comic horror directed by Sundar C. The plot involves Murali (Vinay) and his wife Madhavi (Andrea Jeremiah) with their large family, travel to their native village in order to sell off their ancestral mansion. While they are staying at their ancestral mansion called Aranmanai, strange incidents occur. The household help start disappearing and are later found dead, which triggers investigations forming a mysterious suspense. Ravi (Sundar C.) enters the mansion and discovers that the place is haunted based on the history of the village. The situation worsens when a ghost possesses one of the family members. The story unfolds with many inter-connected flashbacks, culminating into an eventual climax.

Comedy elements are kinda crap. An amalgam of romantic sentiment and horror has given some life to this film.
