Inspired by the same Celtic myths that J.R.R. Tolkien read as a young man, Arthur and Merlin is the epic fantasy adventure of good versus evil and tells the story of the two iconic characters as you’ve never seen them before. In Dark Ages Britain, a time of myth and magic, a Saxon force from the East attacks the Celtic people. But the vicious Saxons are not the only threat the Celts face. The powerful druid, Aberthol, secretly plots to destroy them too. He controls the ailing King Vortigern and leads the Celts to their deaths. But hope is not lost. Arthur, a banished warrior, and Merlin, a hermit wizard, embark on a heroic quest to stop Aberthol and save their people before the Celts are gone forever, lost to mere myth themselves.

A total miss mash, Druids worshipping evil gods and plotting to overthrow the king. A fascicle tangle if ever there was one. Any story based in history needs to have at least some resemblance of the history it is based upon - Saxon armies conquering AFTER the Romans - are you serious? The acting is at best weak, although credit where it is due a valiant effort buy the cast to work with what they was given. I am sure they would have fared much better if offered better material and directions. As for the Celts being the nation battling the Saxons, that would have be the Ancient Brits. The Celts were in the west of what is now England, Wales and Ireland; They were also found in some of what is now the lowlands of Scotland where you would have also found the Pict's. I found this 'film' hard to watch, the 'story line' being to twisted and weak. I would not recommend this to anybody and suggest the writer try to base future works on some sort of foundation the most common used being a beginning, middle, and an end.
