Down-on-her-luck Margarethe (Stockard Channing) flees the creditors of her late husband's London estate with daughters Iris (Azura Skye) and Ruth (Emma Poole) and goes home to Holland. Quickly marrying again, Margarethe finds that her new stepdaughter, Clara (Jenna Harrison), though agoraphobic, is superior in beauty to her own girls. With the sudden loss of her new husband's fortune, Margarethe attempts to get Iris -- instead of Clara -- to marry a prince, but Iris' heart belongs to another.
