Oscar® nominee Michael Fassbender stars in this big-screen action-adventure, based on the wildly popular gaming phenomenon. Fassbender plays Callum Lynch, who experiences the life of his 15th-century ancestor through a technology that unlocks his genetic memories. Callum discovers he once belonged to a secret society of assassins and amasses lethal skills to take on the oppressive Templars.

I love Assassin's Creed but it isn't as great as it should be, these movies have so much potential like hitman, doom and this, they're just all poorly executed a fan boy would probably make a way better movie than this. Side note, no one likes movies that expect to have a sequel even before it gets judged, like Hellboy.

Based on the video game, this is a lot better than you'd expect it to be. Some good acting (even Jeremy Irons didn't ham it up too badly). It kept me gripped throughout, and the relatively simple plot had enough twists and subplots, that it entertained from start to finish.

The story tries to promise so much and goes nowhere. The cinematography is just horrible. I struggled to see what was going on in most shots because of the awful lighting, lense flares all over the screen or dust storms they used to create atmosphere. Tedious and disappointing.
