ASTEROID CITY: a fictional American desert town, circa 1955. Junior Stargazers and Space Cadets from across the country assemble for the annual Asteroid Day celebration -- but the scholarly competition is spectacularly upended by world-changing events. Equal parts comedy, drama, and romance (with a touch of science-fiction). Directed by Wes Anderson and featuring an all-star cast including Jason Schwartzman, Scarlett Johansson, and Tom Hanks.

I can't stop thinking about this film. It's about life, death, anxiety, theater, quarantine, the 50s, the present day, God, science, truth, meaning, eternity. It's funny, touching, weird, and beautiful to look at! I know a lot of people want to dismiss Wes Anderson as all aesthetics and no content. But I swear if you give this masterpiece an honest watch, try to meet it where it is, and let it sit with you, you will get something out of it.

The same Wes Anderson techniques recycled. It is no longer interesting or entertaining.

What a stellar cast. So grateful to be here to watch this. <3
