A filmről
When the Titans first attacked, life for mankind was forever changed. Fearing the massive man-eating humanoids, survivors constructed three enormous walls for protection. From that point on, humanity lived safely behind the walls—for the time being.

Despite having some amazing source material to work with, and also a grade A+ Anime to get inspiration from, this movie really did not even begin to make justice to either one. The overall feeling was very different, the characters have hardly any resemblance to their anime counterparts, and while some of the special effects were amazing, some actually were not, oddly enough. The storyline was also very watered down. I think the anime/manga did it much better, but do not take my word for it. Give it a try but set expectations low. It is better to be pleasantly surprised than to be let down.

Awful movie. Deviates a lot from the anime. Eren doesn't have the drive he had in the anime, Mikasa's character is all screwed up, and then you have Captain Douchebag which is a completely new character. The story line is close but falls short. The action and Titans are good but there's too much romance drama. I don't know what they were thinking but they should have waited on this movie.

The titans looked cool, but it steered really far from the source material for someone who really likes the anime. The humans were never that useless and clueless. They weren't great but pretty much none of them tried to up a fight in the movie. The point of the titans in the anime was that, for the most part, fighting was futile but they tried regardless. This movie missed out on the hopelessness that one got from the anime and instead was a pointless blood bath with no struggle. Also the whole scene where everything got really sexual put me off. It just didn't fit and weirded me out.
