Thông tin về bộ phim này

In a future where Earth's ecosystem verges on collapse, man-made robots roam the cities to protect dwindling human life. When a robot overrides a key protocol put in place to protect human life, ROC Robotics insurance agent Jacq Vaucan (Antonio Banderas) is assigned to locate the source of the manipulation and eliminate the threat. What he discovers leads Vaucan, ROC Robotics and the police into a battle with profound consequences for the future of humanity.

Sometimes there's a reason movies to straight to video. Don't waste your time here, Sharknado would be better. Unless you thoroughly enjoy seeing robots being blasted (in which case you can watch without volume to save yourself of the horrible acting) watch something like "The Machine "

I had limited expectations for this movie based on initial reviews but found myself hitting the play button after the first viewing. When a movie reveals deeper meanings and unexpected, thoughtfully engaging command on repeated viewing, I know something bigger is happening than just another scifi story about robots and the end of the world. Banderas plays a complex character, desparate and determined, physically crushed but fiercely connected to a dream of renewal. Monochrome coloring adds deep mood.

I am a sci fi nerd, but I'm very picky when it comes to stories that strongly feature intelligent machines. I'm sick of the classic Pinocchio story, where Lt. Commander Data, the Bicentennial Man, and so on just want to be a real boy. And I'm sick of the "thanks for giving us life; now we all want to kill or enslave you" Terminator, Matrix, etc. storyline. If you enjoyed the cerebral side of Steven Spielberg's A.I., you may enjoy Automata. It's a fairly simple, solid story with a good cast. It isn't too formulaic. Kept me guessing. Special effects are good enough for a movie that isn't apparently a major blockbuster.
