About this movie

Follows a down-on-their-luck couple young who discover a serial killer's film reels. They decide to take the law into their own hands, risking everything for the chance at a $100,000 reward. It isn't long until they find themselves in the killer's lethal cross-hairs.

Haven't seen it but at the time of writing the trailer thumbnail is for the movie "Zodiac" (with Jake Gyllenhaal and Robert Downey Jr) and the Rotten Tomatoes score is for "Zodiac" also. False advertising.

More like a thriller than a horror but does keep you scarey

That picture is of a better film about the same thing.
