About this movie

The movie deals with two prominent families in the village. One is the family of Ayyanaar (Ponvannan), who is the village head and the village people revere him as the guarding deity. He and Subramania Sastry (Bhagyaraj), the local priest, are friends since childhood days. Another family is the Marudhu (Senthil Vel) brothers who are determined to make Ayyanar lose face because Ayyanar's father was responsible for the death of their father, an illicit-hooch seller. But Sastry foils their plans a couple of times. But when a youngster in their family, Senthil (Yuvan), molests AyyanarÕs daughter, mistaking her for his classmate who had rebuffed him, Marudhu sees an opportunity to ruin AyyanarÕs name forever. What happens next is the rest of the movie.
