With just enough emotional drama to it's themes, Babe is a grand choice for kids and adults alike. The themes for this film is learning how to fit in, and the director (Chris Noonan) knows how to make the themes larger than life, like it's a big deal. Chris also knows how to make the story move a briskly creative pace and sprinkle a lot of emotion to the screenplay and the story. The Characters which are so endearing have so much support to this entire film, and it has marvelous cast to match. the effects are implemented and blended in to this film so expertly. The music score is sweet and dramatic. the final resolution for how this film ends is amazingly grand and pleasing. This is a must-see/classic for the entire family, and appropriate for ages 6 to 96.

Wonderfully fantastic tale that spans adult and childrenโ€™s tastes equally: great humor, storybook quality, musical score, and includes a highly underrated performance of James Cromwell that holds the film together (the guilty pleasure of course is enjoying "Agent Smith" play the male sheepdog).

Babe is not a children's movie. I would say that 10+ kids are fine but younger kids will be scared and saddened by other scenes in the movie. I'm living with the aftermath now.......
