Teenage outsider is keeping some dark secrets and holding a serious grudge against the captain of the Blackfoot High football team. When the head cheerleader is unexpectedly killed in a freak accident, Maddy shocks the remaining team of girls by trying out for the new vacancy. Her success drives a rift between Maddy and her now ex-best friend- a loner who claims to practice the dark arts.
