"Asiáticos Doidos e Ricos" acompanha a nova-iorquina Rachel Chu (Constance Wu) e o seu namorado de longa data, Nick Young (Henry Golding), até ao casamento do seu melhor amigo em Singapura. Rachel está animada por visitar a Ásia pela primeira vez, mas nervosa por conhecer a família de Nick. Ela não está preparada para descobrir que Nick se esqueceu de revelar alguns detalhes sobre a sua vida. Ele não só é o herdeiro de uma das famílias mais ricas do país, como também é um dos seus mais cobiçados solteiros. Basta andar de braço dado com Nick para Rachel sentir um alvo nas costas. Mas membros invejosos do Jet 7 não são nada em comparação com a oposição da mãe de Nick (Michelle Yeoh). Num piscar de olhos torna-se claro que o dinheiro pode não comprar o amor, mas certamente complica tudo.

I notice tons of 5 star and 1 star reviews so I'm going to be different and say 2 and a half stars. The script was for the most part what I'd call "trite", plus overall it wasn't that funny. However there was good acting by Michelle Yeoh, Constance and Awkwafina. Too much overacting by the girl who played Araminta. The only time I laughed out loud was when Awkwafina told Rachel that Eleanor would probably offer $omething in exchange for willfully disappearing.

I was excited...until 3/4 of the movie ended up being in FRENCH. I understand they're suppose to be 'french-asian' but putting 3/4 of the movie in french doesnt capture my attention because my eyes (as an English speaker) are on the subtitles. NOT the movie.

Was a rly good movie. Honestly the books were better and it wasn't very original or a masterpiece (unlike the books) but it is worth watching. Ppl say it speaks out against racism but it rly doesn't except for the first scene which actually sent the wrong message about racism. While I love the intent the only reason the mean hotel manager started respecting them was because they were rich. That's not the message ppl should be sending out. Ppl should respect others because they r PEOPLE!
