Again a sanjay leela bhansali movie...Bajirao a maratha general is married to Kashibai but lost his heart to a muslim princess Mastani..a devastating love story..Ranveer singh shines as the Marathi speaking warrior..his looks from a Brave warrior..to a loving husband..and to a longing helpless lover..Deepika was good but she should have performed more nicely..priyanka chopra nails the whole film from a loving wife to a hatred married life..songs is nice..direction is perfect and locales are magnificent...go watch it to see a love story more than a history drama...

The performances by Ranveer and Deepika and the rest of the cast was supurb. I loved Deepika's role as a warrior-princess who falls in love with a strong, handsome king who is loyal to his country and people. Since I really do not know Indian history too much, I am assuming that this film is based on folklore. The story line is really a solid love story that overcomes all odds even in the face of death and beyond, apparently. The actors are beautiful, the clothing are stunning and the sets, well, they outshines most of what I have seen except other Bollywood movies and wonderful cinema photography. I became a fan of Bollywood about 3 years ago. My first movie was entitled, Jodhaa Akbarr. I am glad that was the first one because it hooked me on a new form of movies I could enjoy. I purchased this movie, "Bajirao Mastani" for my own library. I will enjoy it for years. As a footnote: I just found out that Ranveer and Deepika are really married. What a cherry on top of the dessert!

Deepika as mastani, ranveer as bajirao and PC as kashibai had nailed it. A worth to watch movie. 100% Entertaining movie from starting to ending. Songs are the best part of it. Sets are the best of all. I couldn't even blink my eyes during watching this movie. Superb. Looking forward to #Padmavati which will create the same magic as BM
