I love satire and intelligent screen writing... I like movies that push the boundaries and challenge the audience to think, that provoke broader discussion or that upset the status quo.. Despite the hype this movie is none of those things. A terribly long pop music video with a predictable premise and a plot apparently written by a Mattel advertising executive's child.. Seriously... I do not know how this movie grossed out.. I couldn't even get through it. BAD

A fun comedy with some interesting and original ideas at times that ultimately falls a little short on its ambitions, though I know others who would disagree with me on that. Despite being a movie about a kids doll, the movie will be enjoyed more by adults. Bought a premium price (AUD$35!) - suggest waiting for a cheaper option (streaming) if you can!

It was really just a political push for feminism- but in its push to stick up for women’s rights it was squashing all women who are happy to be housewives and mothers. It also squashed the value of men & their role in society and the family. So sad when Hollywood decides they want to try and teach instead of entertain.
