This is the best barbie movie to exist. Golden age of barbie movies right here. Disney princess movies will never compare to the glory that is barbie movies like this. iconic. The storyline is incredible and we see barbie take charge of her own destiny and save her kingdom without a prince. there is a love story involved but the focus of the movie lies in both erica and annalise overcoming their circumstances and forming a lifelong friendship. The songs are well written, fun, and iconic, adding to the story without being overly dramatic. I would recommend this movie to everyone.

The premise and merchandise for this movie is brilliant, regal and magical but the movie was a bit of a disappoint, the story was not the classic prince and the pauper where two social classes collide it's a retelling, more of a damsel in distress movie which made me yawn a few times while watching. The music is sweet and theatrical which was one of the reasons why I rented this movie, some songs could of been better but all in all pretty top notch. Lastly I really wish they developed more of a story line for Erica working as seamstress her family life etc. but sadly this was just a one side story following the princess with only a sprinkle of Erica.
