I'm giving it 3 stars because even though it's an animated movie i thought some parts of the movie was very unrealistic and the voice acting didn't suite the character for example the jokers voice didn't sound right such a miss match as for the story it could of been better scripted and animated, more realistic etc.

My absolute favourite animated movie ever. It captures everything I love about Batman and perfectly executes it. Pros: Excellent story Fantastic animation Insightful social commentary Amazing portrayal of the franchise Great fight scenes Cons: Some moments can be unrealistic Some cheesy dialogue

A great adaptation of a classic Frank miller story. Animation is top-notch with voice work that was amazing. With the great Peter Weller as aged batman rings true. Any true batman fan must watch and or read The Dark Knight Returns..
