Het is een duistere tijd in Gotham City. De stad wordt gegijzeld door de machtige en misdadige Falcone-familie, en het wemelt er van de criminaliteit en corruptie. Daar komt de mysterieuze Holiday killer nog bij, die zich richt op de onderwereld en een spoor van terreur en lijkzakken achterlaat. Batman, Lieutenant Gordon en D.A. Harvey Dent racen tegen de klok naarmate de volgende rampzalige feestdag dichterbij komt. De film is gebaseerd op het bekroonde beeldverhaal Batman: The Long Halloween, Part One, waarin de Dark Knight door een verwrongen reeks gebeurtenissen voorgoed verandert.

So now WB are ruining the animated DC movies now, Once WB use to make the greatest animated super hero movies for the whole family, sometimes a bit too dark but great none the less, but the last few like this have been terrible, no wonder Marvel is winning by so much

The long Halloween and the Dark victory are two consecutive graphic novels by jeph Loeb and Tim sale that told much about the life and history of Gotham and it's treasured vigilante. The animators just need to adhere to an already superbly crafted storyline and realise the vital clues to the Wayne families fortune,fame and foundation!!
