Pugazh belongs to a middle-class family living with his mother, grandfather and sister Ammu. He gets a job as a police sub-inspector. One day, his sister Ammu faints while practicing badminton. She is taken to a hospital and is advised to get a pacemaker implanted. As it costs more in that hospital she is taken to a different hospital and the pacemaker is implanted. Later, her health worsens and she dies. Pugazh finds out that it is the outcome of a conspiracy and identifies the culprit. What happens from there is the rest of the movie.
