But that is about it. I kept wishing my tablet would split-screen so I could do Sudoku at the same time. Acting is poor, story line makes no sense. The Alien are so violent and deadly when they attack, it doesn't seem plausible (if anything in this movie does) that they wouldn't kill everyone on sight instead of only if they were a threat.

It's the best way to sum up what is an all American one-man-saves-the-planet-again movie. The CG is nice and I think the aliens look quite good but the moment you realise they are actually playing Battleships on a Destroyer vs aliens is a sad moment which later in the movie topped of with another good round of patriotism when the veterans get involved. If you want a film to watch then it is a film but it's not a good one, there are however worse ways to pass time.

Always surprised when studios don't pay the big money for decent scripts and wonder why the film is panned. Enjoyed this overall but threatened to 'walk out' after ten mins. Trying to set up the plot almost backfired; there is no plot, just american cinematic clichés and some above average action set pieces.
