Seventeen year old Kyle is the spoiled, shallow and incredibly popular prince of his high school kingdom. Entirely captivated and empowered by his own physical appearance, Kyle foolishly chooses Kendra, a goth classmate rumored to be a witch, as his latest target for humiliation. Unfazed by his cruel behavior, Kendra decides to teach him a lesson - she transforms him into someone as unattractive on the outside as he is on the inside. Now he has one year to find someone who can see past the surface and love him, or he will remain "Beastly" forever. It was a good movie, but it could of been longer. Kind of just jumped seen to seen with really no explanation, could of used a bit of more detail.

There are many stories like this. However, I really enjoyed this particular tale. It gripped me right away. Beastly speaks about true affection and hushed love. We watch the main character change from a boy into a man... I would really recommend this movie and book.

NPH is this movie's only saving grace. I would never less than five star an NPH movie, no matter how bad.
