From Academy Awardยฎ-winning filmmaker Fisher Stevens and Academy Award-winning actor, environmental activist and U.N. Messenger of Peace Leonardo DiCaprio, Before the Flood presents a riveting account of the dramatic changes occurring around the world due to climate change, as well as the actions we as individuals and as a society can take to prevent catastrophic disruption of life on our planet.
This is a brilliant documentary, very important and well worth a watch. However, don't rent from Google. You can watch it free on YouTube on NatGeo channel as all other streamers said theres would be available free also, rather than letting Google profit from it.
DiCaprio is sincere, and getting access to President Obama, Secretary Kerry, Pope Francis, Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and Dr Piers Sellers is a sign of the strength of his message. The editing and narrative is a bit disjointed, but overall a good documentary.
A tale of two halves. The first 50 minutes manage to rekindle some of the magic of the first movie. After this, it falls flat, and the ending is an anti-climax.
