Seduced by dreams of making it in the big city, Gretta and her long-time boyfriend move to New York to pursue their passion for music. She's heartbroken when he dumps her for the fame and fortune of a big solo contract, leaving her all on her own. Left to sleep on the couch of an old friend, Gretta reluctantly agrees to play an open mic night before departing the city for home. A real feel good movie........Ruffalo was sublime.....Knightly playing Greta was just as she is in all of her movies not really acting........ rather just being herself that is, a childlike middle class woman from England......I would have enjoyed it more if they had used a skilled actress to play Greta......... for sure there are plenty of big name and more appealing Hollywood actresses that can easily do a convincing upper crust English accent

Whimsical, hopeful and joyous. Too often realism in cinema is required to be cynical. This is a lovely exploration of relationships, music and hope. If you loved Once - and honestly who didn't - then you'll love this.

Really enjoyed the characters beliefs and bringing something new and fresh. Away from the corporations/companies. Enjoyable throughout. (only shame about the swearing in parts)
