Sorry. Apocalypse Now is not a war movie. It is a fiction/action piece in a war setting. Veterans know when we're out at sea, we prepare our minds to act as if we're at war. Behind Enemy Lines delivers on everyday life onboard a carrier. Yes, it does get mundane and boring just like Owen Wilson's character points out. But, the film shows what could happen if an F-18 stray off the no-fly zone. Bosnian conflict really happened. Geonocide occurred.Real world situation. It's a great drama/thriller

This came out in 2001. VFX was getting its footing and evolving around then to what we see over a decade later in movies now. Give credit to the fact, they created an entertaining combat war film. Its lighter in atmosphere but a fun to watch. Not a classic, but fun no less. :)
