Peter Sellers' last movie! It is a great movie and so sad that we lost him after this great masterpiece! I liked everything about this movie, its pace, its music, its story, and the way that Peter Sellers played that I totally forgot that I had seen him to play as Inspector Clouseau in Pink Panther film series in past. The movie is now 40 years old (2019) but it felt beyond time and space and the main topics can relate to our time. The sex scene reminded me of "The Nonexistent Knight" by Italo Calvino. I recommend this movie especially to whom that are not interested in fast-paced movies!

Perhaps the only disappointing thing about this brilliant film is the very out of place outtakes that plays over the end credits. It's a strange choice for this affecting satire that examines what people choose to believe and see when presented with a blank canvas. More introspective than Sellers' previous work, this comedy trades slapstick for the foibles of pretension.

Happened to stumble on this movie on AMC and ran out of time about half way through account I had to work.Rented the very next day and I must say enjoyed it very much.I am in my early 40s and know Sellers from Pink Panther.I was 8 years old when this was made glad I got to see it.Better late than never!
