About this movie

Suzu is a 17-year-old high school student living in a rural village with her father. For years, she has only been a shadow of herself. One day, she enters "U," a virtual world of 5 billion members on the internet. There, she is not Suzu anymore but Belle, a world-famous singer. She soon meets with a mysterious creature. Together, they embark on a journey of adventures, challenges and love, in their quest of becoming who they truly are.

Ratings and reviews

I really wanted to love this movie. The storyline was going great, but the biggest let down is from the reveal till the end. They could have done so much more with the storyline. The movie could have included her father in the reveal because he did lose someone special to him, his participation was so minimal. The movie could have made the guy friend that cares about her have a connection and make it that it was his sibling that was saved hence the overcaring nature he has of her.

Such a beautiful modern adaption of beauty and the beast! This moving is stunning and deep on so many levels cannot recommend this film enough!
