Inspired by the true story of Dido Elizabeth Belle, this powerful film stars Gugu Mbatha-Raw as the mixed-race daughter of a British Navy officer raised by her wealthy great-uncle (Tom Wilkinson) and his wife (Emily Watson). i am very intrested in history. black history. and have studied the topic of slavery in britian. the caribben. america.and slavery through out africa i found the film was made well and was enteraining. in my opinion.the film made light of the facts of howbelle.the faimly and local community would. have felt and reacted at that time in england

Another perception on life during/after slavery... showing the different out looks on the issue. It show's no one is born racist - they are taught. So glad she found happiness and not someone elses.

A very interesting view of slavery and it was inspiring to see how she stood against the way she was treated and what she did to change it. I was a bit confused as to what happened to her father though.
