BEN-HUR is the epic story of Judah Ben-Hur (Jack Huston), a prince falsely accused of treason by his adopted brother Messala (Toby Kebbell), an officer in the Roman army.  Stripped of his title, separated from his family and the woman he loves (Nazanin Boniadi), Judah is forced into slavery.  After years at sea, Judah returns to his homeland to seek revenge, but finds redemption.  Based on Lew Wallace’s timeless novel, Ben-Hur: A Tale of the Christ.  Also starring Morgan Freeman and Rodrigo Santoro.

Calificaciones y opiniones

Sorry, cannot avoid comparison to the -59 version. Plot doesnt really hold together and lacks the dramatics. Scenes - like the famous naval battle - are confused and not well integated to the story. Jerusalem looks anything but the original, girls are riding horses dressed in their leggins etc etc. While the -59 was an epic record breaking Oscar-looter, this is just another contemporary movies.

A "historical" epic .... the raw dishonesty or ignorance of these christians truly amazes me. Meanwhile they might consider going to an actual library reading actual history books placed in the non-fiction area ... and not the bible which is placed in the fiction section of the library.
